The CVG Industrial Manufacturing Facility in Concord was built in 2006. This single-story building is approximately 59,400 +/- square feet and sits on 7.2 +/- acres.
The site is a half mile from North Carolina Highway 49. The Highway 49 corridor is one of the spearheads of growth from Charlotte and Mecklenburg County into Carbarrus County. Approximately 8 miles from the CVG site, on the Mecklenburg County side of 49 is the burgeoning area of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). On the Cabarrus County side is the developing community of Harrisburg as well as the Lowes Motor Speedway, home to many of the highest profile races in NASCAR.
On the west side of Interstate 85 from Concord is Kannapolis, a smaller community but David Murdock, Chairman & CEO of Dole Food Company Inc. owner of the former Pillowtex plant, has unveiled plans to create a Bioteck campus that will rival the Research Triangle in Raleigh-Durham. |
