The Suburban Extended Stay Hotel in Concord has received the Inn of the Year award from Choice Hotels International Inc., franchiser of the Suburban Extended Stay brand.

Choice Hotels presents the award annually to hotels that demonstrate lodging excellence.

The 101-room Concord Suburban Extended Stay Hotel opened in 2003. It was developed by Griffin Stafford, a Concord-based hotel development and management company.

The hotel is off Speedway Boulevard, less than a mile from the entrances to Lowe's Motor Speedway to the east and Concord Mills mall to the west.

Maryland-based Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH) franchises more than 5,400 hotels in the United States and abroad.
